Raising Awareness Through a Heartfelt Cycling Journey for Organ Donation
My Story
My Story
I am a person who donated a kidney four years ago to a friend, and today, I am taking on an extraordinary challenge: biking across Canada from Vancouver to Montreal. Through this adventure, I aim to demonstrate that even after donating an organ, great things can still be accomplished. My goal is also to raise awareness among Canadians about organ donation and to show that each signature on a donor card could save lives.
I am proud to have donated my kidney, but if more people were registered as donors, many lives could be saved. At the same time, I want to raise funds to support the Maison des greffés Lina Cyr, an exceptional organization that provides housing and essential support to patients awaiting or recovering from a transplant.
The Maison des greffés Lina Cyr, located in Montreal, assists transplant patients through three crucial stages: the evaluation and waiting for a transplant, the transition from hospital to home, and post-operative follow-up. Since its opening in 1994, it has helped over 43,000 people across Quebec.
I invite you to follow my journey and contribute to this vital cause. Together, we can make a difference for patients waiting for a transplant and promote the importance of organ donation in Canada.
You can ride with me in your city.
